ALASKAN SONG FISHING ON ALASKAN SONG
Explorer is equipped with a 15 ft. aluminum skiff and a 30 h.p. outboard. It is rigged for fishing & crabbing and is handy for nature excursions into the lagoons and coves. We can hike up to a glacier fed lake and cast for cutthroat trout or venture out in the skiff for salmon and halibut. We also have Crab
and Shrimp traps on board to add to your dining
pleasure. We provide a full range of graphite rods and many
different styles of reels. Bait is also provided.

There are five different species of salmon that return the waters of Southeast
Alaska each year. May and June are the best months for King
Salmon while July through September are best for Coho
or Silver Salmon. Halibut a relative of
the flounder that can exceed 300 pounds are another treat for the
angler and are present all season. There are also several species
of both sea run and freshwater trout to be found
in these abundant waters.
